Björn Axén is launching Moisture – skincare for your hair

In February 2023, Björn Axén is launching their new hair care range Moisture, a series consisting of four caring and moisturizing products containing hyaluronic acid. The products also contain modified guar and anti-dehydration technology, two ingredients that enhance the conditioning effect and encapsulates the moisture in the hair for a longer lasting and more effective result.

 

– I love the skinification trend and I definitely believe that it’s here to stay. We’re not new to this area since it’s something that Björn already started talking about back in 1984. In my opinion, he was one of the first to understand the importance of nourishing and moisturizing ingredients in shampoos, conditioners and hair masks, so that both the hair and scalp stay healthy. The skin on the scalp is the same as on the face and it’s also where the production of the hair takes place, therefore it’s so important to care for both the hair and scalp. This is exactly what Moisture does, a series that suits all hair types and works just like skincare does but for your hair and scalp, says Johan Hellström, owner and CEO of Björn Axén.

 

For best results, it’s recommended to use the four Moisture products together as a hair care routine. The nourishing shampoo cleanses the hair while adding important moisture, which in combination with the hair mask and conditioner cares, softens and moisturizes the hair further without weighing it down. A trio whose effect is enhanced when using the serum as it adds even more essential moisture and nutrition to both the hair and scalp.

 

– We’ve chosen hyaluronic acid as the key ingredient in our new series Moisture because it’s an effective moisturizer that helps both the hair and the scalp to stay hydrated. This is extra important during the colder months when those areas are in greater need of moisture. The series includes two different types of hyaluronic acid, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid and Sodium Hyaluronate. It’s the sizes of the molecules that make the difference between the two types. We’ve chosen to include both these ingredients to ensure that the products moisturize the surface of the hair and scalp, as well as deeper under the skin- and hair layers for better effect. Above all, these are properties that make our serum so good because it's a leave-in product that’s active during a longer time, says Zofia Wojtysiak, Product Manager at Björn Axén.

 

Moisture prevents dry hair and scalp as well as frizz, itchiness and static hair. All products are free from harmful substances, dermatologically tested and developed with great consideration to both us humans and the environment. In addition to hydration and care, the new Moisture products also have protective properties against heat and other external stresses.

 

– In addition to the carefully selected ingredients, I think the magical scent is one of the best qualities of Moisture. The scent took about six months to develop and I’m so happy with the result. The series has a fresh scent of cucumber, mint and jasmine as well as subtle hints of musk, helping the scent last longer, Johan concludes.

 

How to use: Shampoo at least twice until the hair lathers and then rinse thoroughly. Apply the conditioner through massaging the product all the way into the scalp. Rinse out and apply the desired amount of serum in towel-dried hair and scalp. Use hair mask as desired, apply after shampooing about 2–4 times a month.
