Björn Axén launches Sport – hair care for an active lifestyl

The Swedish haircare brand Björn Axén is now launching Björn Axén Sport. A new haircare series especially developed for people living an active lifestyle. The series consists of nourishing shampoo and conditioner, as well as a brand-new salt water gel that adds texture to the hair, making it easier to style after showering.

As a response to the growing interest in training and wellness Björn Axén is now launching Björn Axén Sport. A new haircare series consisting of three products specifically developed for people living an active lifestyle. The products contain refreshing peppermint oli and organic tea tree oil, two active ingredients that deep cleanses the hair and soothes the scalp.

– We identified a gap in the market and noticed a growing demand amongst the target audience influenced by the strong wellness trend. An active lifestyle helps your body to stay healthy but with consistent training results in many showers which can negatively impact both your hair and scalp. So, in order to maintain a healthy hair and scalp it is important to wash your hair correctly, with the right products. Therefore, we wanted to create a professional haircare series specifically developed to minimize the strains an active lifestyle can put on the hair and scalp, says Johan Hellström, owner of Björn Axén.

The Björn Axén Sport series consists of three products: shampoo, conditioner and a salt water gel. A completely new type of gel that allows styling both damp and dry hair, making it easier to style your hair after working out. Like all Björn Axén´s products, the Sport series is unisex and suitable for both long and short hair. The products are also dermatologically tested and vegan.

– Similar to how the clothing industry develops workout wear in new, suitable materials designed for being active we also want to offer hair products tailored for the needs that arise from regular training and an active lifestyle. For example, both the shampoo and conditioner have antibacterial properties which reduces the negative effect sweat may have on the scalp’s bacterial flora, avoiding dandruff and an itchiness, says Johan Hellström, owner of Björn Axén.

BJÖRN AXÉN SALT WATER GEL
A flexible gel that adds texture, leaving a salt water beach sensation. The gel also adds volume defining the hairs shapes and curls. Non-greasy, suits all hair types and lengths. Apply to damp or dry hair and allow to air- or blow dry.
